Identity Motivated Living™
is an expression that embodies the essence of the Christian life. Jesus Christ comes into us to dwell, creating in us new life, a new creation, and a new nature. Power wells up from this new nature, motivating us to good works out of love for God. Our new identity comes from the Father; we have Jesus living in us always; and the Holy Spirit empowers us to be more and more like Christ.
Jesus uses the term, “...I am,” to reference himself in John 8:58. Thus, the acronym I. M. Living refers to “Christ in us the hope of Glory.”
Dr. Maurice E. Wagner embraced this as a slogan for the unique concepts he discerned during his 60 years of ministry.

A Memoir, A Lifetime of Trusting Jehovah God
By Julia Choa Smith
This memoir by Julia Choa Smith tells the amazing but true story of the author’s long life, a life filled with hope, inspiration, and frequent touches of humor in spite of seemingly insurmountable difficulties. Julia, originally named Siok Ngo Choa, was born into a wealthy family in southeastern China in 1931. When she was five, her father’s death and the loss of his business plunged the family into poverty and forced her mother to move them to the Philippines, where Mrs. Choa was able to find work. For the next 23 years, Julia lived in Manila. At the age of nine, she contracted tuberculosis, which settled in her left hip bone, and her doctor predicted that she would die within a few months. Miraculously, she survived, but her hip and leg were permanently damaged. She was hospitalized for many months, and for the rest of her life she has walked with crutches. Despite this misfortune and other difficulties, Julia, sustained by her strong Christian faith and motivated by her independent, determined spirit, graduated from high school and the University of the Philippines. In 1969, she came to the United States on a student visa and earned a master’s degree in Christian Education. A few years later, she became an American citizen, and at the age of 50 she married Richard Smith. Now in her 90’s, Julia, a widow, still lives in her own home, still does her own cooking and sewing, and continues to testify daily to God’s faithfulness and his miraculous working in her life. You will be challenged, encouraged, and inspired to trust God in a deeper way as you read her story.
